ADDICTECH.COM EXCLUSIVE : CIRCUIT BENT - TRENCH FOOT : OMELETTE RECORDS

Shattering our minds with glitch and shaking the walls with bass we are honored to bring yet another exclusive release from the wizards of OZ, this time from Omelette Records and glitch masters Circuit Bent!

Somewhere on the cusp between genius and insanity lies the final frontier of aural pleasure. A hedonistic theme park that represents the final bastion against the mechanical grind of society's flesh eating jowls. If there was a sign, it would read "Trench Foot"

Circuit Bent are Eli and Jesse, two electronic outlaws hellbent on protecting the people from the sins of the music industry. Their new EP Trench Foot is both psychologically disturbing and physically challenging as it takes its audiences into the realm of the aural underground.

Their sound in Trench Foot is both raw and advanced, as Circuit Bent demonstrate why they have become a new force from Australia. Dubstep, Breakbeat and Glitch are certainly referenced, but to use any of the terms exclusively would be to underestimate exactly what Trench Foot represents.

ADDICTECH.COM EXCLUSIVE : SUGARPILL - MADE UP PLACES EP : SIMPLIFY RECORDINGS

Simplify Recordings presents the "Made Up Places EP", a strong release by beat slinger and glitch purveuor Sugarpill. This Los Angeles-based producer and performer has carved out a signature sound from the gritty edges of dubstep, glitch hop and West Coast bass music. Now expanding his beats into new regions of body-moving magic, “Made Up Places EP” delivers fresh surprises with heavy melodies in its six bass-drenched tracks.

Smeared with classic glitch sounds, “Zone 4” launches the EP with a melody that melts over an intriguing kick as crystalline tones dance in the skies above. Carbonated by a cascade of synths and a galactically funky beat, “Prettyshaker” is thick and heady, echoing through outer space with a bright jive and drooling bassline. Wade slowly into the dreamy and more downtempo “Chewbacca Hat,” a gurgling creeper that is slashed open until emerging with intense color towards the end. Starting with a hum and a G-funk feel, “Crazniac” leans back low before blasting off with chopped vocals on a sharpened saw. “Frowny Face” is the hardest offering the EP, a pummeling piece that contains a midrange monster who is trying to force its way out. Made Up Places EP closes with “Terrible People,” a warm and emotional track dressed up with splashy horns that leaves a chromatic trail of digital dust in its wake.

With a sturdy base set deep into the groove, coated in sonics from modern hip hop and electronica, the "Made Up Places EP" is an welcome addition to any bass music aficionado's collection. Only found on Addictech.com!

ADDICTECH RECORDS PRESENTS : BIRD OF PREY - PATHFINDER/METAKINETIC

ADDICTECH RECORDS PRESENTS : BIRD OF PREY - PATHFINDER/METAKINETIC
Bird of Prey is constantly forging new territories in psychedelic bass music, and his newest release on Addictech Records is a clear indicator that he is moving forward and evolving his sound. Refusing to go anywhere near the cliche current trends, he maintains his intention to weave an audio tale for the ages.

On "Pathfinder" Bird of Prey collaborates with Robert Rich and Ryan Johnson for an epic downtempo journey, creating an organic soundscape that is one of the best "chill out" tracks that we have heard in ages! Robert Rich has helped define the genres of ambient music, dark-ambient, tribal and world fusion with dozens of albums across three decades. Rich has performed in caves, cathedrals, planetariums, museums and concert halls throughout North America and Europe. His all-night Sleep Concerts have become legendary since their debut in 1982. His sound design graces many films, and as a mastering engineer he has applied his ear to hundreds of albums. Ryan Johnson is a musician of diverse talent and style. He currently performs with the electronic dance ensemble TROPO, the acoustic/vocal group Alabaster Stone, and rock/pop band Rain fur Rent.

"Metakinetic" brings us back to the dancefloor in a more traditional Bird of Prey vibration. Pumping basslines ride atop cleverly crafted beats, while intelligent arpeggios mesh with just the right amount of glitch. There is something distinct about the Bird of Prey sound, and we believe that he achieves his goal to create "Music to Expand the Heart and Blow the Mind"!

Even though this release is available on over 300 sites, we encourage you to purchase from the Addictech store. We are very generous to our artists, and by purchasing from this site you support them directly!

A.VANVRANKEN - LANDED : DALY CITY RECORDINGS

ADDICTECH.COM EXCLUSIVE : A.VANVRANKEN - LANDED : DALY CITY RECORDINGS

"Landed" is the third LP from IDM and Downtempo producer A.VanVranken, which was produced and fine-tuned over several years. Taking a cue from more mellow idm and ambient influences such as The Flashbulb and Autechre, "Landed" is grounded in melody and intentional beats rather than the harder idm-style turbulent noise.

Starting things off confidently with the sunny roadtrip of "Tomorrow" and ending with the deliberate calm chaos of "Scy", the album guides us through bright and danceable head-bobbing moments, industrial suspense, and introspective interludes catered by mysterious unintelligible vocal samples. Elements outside of IDM add variety and complexity to the soundscape, with intriguing distortions and repetitive glitchy hooks scattered throughout in a carefully-arranged and cohesive package.

Daly City drops a new spice into their recipe with this one, and it can only be found on Addictech.com!
